Your Sherwood Park ACT celebrated the traditional start of spring with a two-day hot dog sale with our friends at Salisbury Greenhouse, with all proceeds going to support the many wonderful charities and other helping organizations making Sherwood Park a great place to be!
in addition to the hot dog sales, we also sold dozens of our garden shed raffle tickets. This important fundraiser supports our Turk Mahan Scholarship – one of the few scholarship programs that is focused on helping those whose career goals are the vocations not traditionally associated with degree-granting programs. Examples could include, but are not limited to sales and business (e.g. real estate agent, data entry, administrative assistant, etc.), skilled trades and construction (e.g. electrician, plumber, carpenter, etc.), healthcare and wellness (e.g. massage therapist, home health aid, etc.), transportation (e.g. truck driver, flight attendant, rail conductor, etc.), just to name a few!
Despite the variable weather, we sold out of hotdogs, and most of the pop! Thank you everyone who stopped by to chat and buy garden shed raffle tickets!
